There are three different exports in CircleCare. They do different jobs.

1. Your data (the full export)

A file named circlecare-export.json. JSON is a data format, not a printable report. It is best for keeping a complete copy or moving your records to another tool.

If you own a circle, it includes for that circle:

  • The care recipient's details and the member list
  • Emergency info
  • Medications and every recorded dose (taken, late, skipped), plus as-needed doses
  • Appointments and tasks
  • Vitals
  • Daily care notes and visit or task notes, of every age
  • The list of documents (name, category, type, size, date). The files themselves are not inside; download those from Documents.

If you are a member of someone else's circle, it includes your membership and the records you created there: events you added, doses you recorded and notes you wrote.

Archived circles are not included. You can run the export up to 5 times a day. Anyone can export their own data; you don't need Premium.

2. Care summary (PDF)

A short document for a doctor or hospital: the care recipient, conditions, allergies, emergency contacts, medications, doctors and insurance, with optional notes from the last 30 days. Anyone in the circle can share it. See Keep emergency info and share a care summary.

3. Medication history report (PDF, Premium)

A printable report of what was taken, taken late, skipped or not marked over a period you pick. See Share a medication history report.
