Steps
- Open Care, then the Meds tab.
- Tap the ... button on the medication.
- Tap Discontinue to stop it, or Delete to remove it.
- Confirm.
Discontinue (stop)
- Takes effect right away, for the whole medication (every dose time).
- Upcoming doses leave the calendar and reminders stop.
- Past doses stay in the history and the reports.
- The medication moves to Inactive medications. Tap Reactivate there to turn it back on. Doses that passed while it was stopped don't come back.
Delete
- The medication disappears from the medication list and the calendar, and its reminders stop.
- Doses already recorded stay in the history and the reports.
- This can't be undone. If you might need it again, use Discontinue instead.
Good to know
- In the medication form, the same choices are under Manage medication.
- In the calendar, deleting a single dose asks This dose only or This and all future doses.
- On the web, open Medications and use the same Discontinue and Delete options on each card.
