Steps
- Open the circle and stay on the "Home" tab.
- Scroll to "Care team" and tap "Add family member".
- Under "Who are you inviting?", choose "Family caregiver" or "Care recipient".
- Type their email address and tap "Send invitation".
- Optional: tap "Share invite link" or "Copy link" to send the link by text message or chat, so they can join right away.
What the invited person gets
CircleCare emails them a link and an invite code. When they open the link on a phone with CircleCare installed, the app opens. Without the app, the link opens in their web browser, and they can join there. They need a free account. See Join a circle you were invited to.
Caregiver or care recipient
- Family caregiver is for siblings, partners, friends or paid helpers who help with care.
- Care recipient is the person being cared for. They get a simpler app focused on medication reminders, and they can confirm when they have taken a dose. A circle can have only one care recipient. The care recipient does not need an account for the circle to work.
Limits on the free plan
- A free circle includes you plus 1 caregiver. A pending invitation holds that spot until it is accepted, cancelled or expires.
- If the spot is taken by a pending invite, the app shows "Your invitation is already in use". Cancel that invitation to free the spot, or upgrade.
- Inviting the care recipient is never limited. They do not count toward the caregiver limit.
- With Premium, you can invite as many caregivers as you need. See What is free and what Premium adds.
Pending invitations
Invitations last 7 days. Under "Care team", "Pending invitations" shows each one and when it expires. Once an invitation has expired, tap "Resend" to send it again for another 7 days. To withdraw one, tap the X next to it.
Good to know
- Only the circle owner and managers can invite people. Other caregivers cannot send invitations. See Owners, caregivers, care recipients and view-only.
- On a computer at my.circlecare.app, open the circle, choose "Members" and then "Invite member".
